Kalopsia is an augmented reality interactive art project that explores how we find beauty in ordinary things. Kalopsia uses video from a webcam, motion tracking code, (Javascript & p5.js) similar code used for facial recognition. Inspired by traditional Japanese kamons and shapes, the artwork uses these as design elements to create an interactive generative art piece.
The AR piece is an expression of my further exploration into interactive collaborative art in which the audience can participate in the piece. The piece can be seen on monitor or projection wall art installation.
